I document my way through the analog world and then talk about it. At length. Mostly journaling, planners, and paper, plus every slow hobby that keeps a fast life soft.

I started analog laura because I love analog everything. Paper, pens, ink, slow hobbies, anything that gets made by hand instead of on a screen. I wanted one place to keep track of it.

Most of what happens at this desk is journaling. A daily journal, a commonplace book, a themed journal I trade back and forth with Dawn, spreads I decorate for no reason except that I want to, watercolor when the mood hits, and a planner setup I've had to build a chart to explain.

The swatch book is the smallest corner of it. I swatch when I want to know how an ink behaves, what it does on the page, whether it shades, how it dries. It's a reference I keep for myself. Forty-two entries so far, and it's here because it's useful, not because it's the point.

I'm not precious about any of it, and I'll tell you what I really think all of the time. I can girl math any purchase, but I'll never encourage you to buy for the sake of buying.
